Digipak Deconstruction: Where Are Ü Now

Where Are Ü Now - Digipak

This album cover is very effective. It tells you who it's by without stating their name on the front. The Ü logo is not only linked to their band but is also linked to 5 of their songs on this album. Immediately you can tell who it's by if you know who Jack Ü are. I think their is fun added as the the Ü looks like a smiley face. The use of their own personal photos is unique and personal and are also a way of showing who the albums by. Skrillex is a very well known by his looks as he has a very distinctive look. Diplo is a very famous DJ so a lot of people will know he looks like. It also involves photos of the two together which shows their friendship.

I like the way on the back of the Digipak the background is dimmed so it is easier to read the list of songs and features. The contrast between the white, yellow and darker colour works well. The font is fun and in the style that Jack Ü is written on posters and merchandise. I like how the list is the biggest font on the back so it doesn't blend in with anymore text.

I will use the ideas of contrast between colours as it benefits the readers and is more eye-catching. As much as I like the picture collage as the background, I wouldn't do this myself as it's too complicated and would be too similar to this album cover. They have included what's compulsory for Digipaks such as barcodes, copyright status, parental advisory label and production companies.
